Honors/Communities
It is not often that I find myself part of clubs or organizations in school, and my freshman year of college is no different. What is different, though, is the fact that not being able to be a part of any communities in college right now is upsetting. I have found a lot of good friends because of the Honors College. I found my best friend in the same house as me, Sprague, and I have found many friend connections because of the honors community, or which I am very glad. Before college I was never really involved in any school activities outside of actual school and events for Ensemble, so the honors community has introduced me to a whole new world of possibilities for friends, help, and just general discussion. I hope, in later years, to be able to join more communities in longwood and grow my circle, finding new friends and ideas. ~ Ariel Birkholz, May 2020
