HONS: Writing and Rhetoric

In this foundation level course, we learned new directions that we could take our academic works in. The first paper was a persuasive research paper. We were given models and templates to read before class and discussed the varying approaches in class. The personal essay was the next paper, due a few weeks later. Again, we read models before class and discussed them together. The final project was about taking our personal essays and expressing them in a new genre with a few obstructions to challenge ourselves. It was a nice way to see how we could improve our work in the future and continue to challenge ourselves.
