Hon: The Appreciation of Music

In this pillar’s requirement course, we started off by learning about the different levels there are of listening to music. Then, we started to work on our depth of listening. Throughout the course, we were graded on the notes we took about the music we listened to at concerts. The lectures and work we were assigned outside of class laid foundations of musical terms and history for the compositions we were assigned to listen to outside of class. The class ended with a trip to the Opera that the Cormier Honors College paid for to observe as a class.
