While college is about much more than simply attending classes, academics come first and foremost. After all you do go to college to learn. In my experiences at Longwood I have taken a variety of courses. Two specific categories of truly impactful courses are the General Education Courses and the Honors Courses.
These classes make up the foundational knowledge every student at Longwood learns in order to become a more rounded person and explore the world around them.
This category of classes embraces the idea that honors work is different not harder. They provide opportunities for greater growth and development both as a student and a person by digging deeper into the subjects covered and asking each student to reflect upon themselves and their experiences.
