Adapting the Critical Thinking Competency Rubric for Use in the Classroom with Dr. Eric Moore
Longwood University’s Critical Thinking Competency Rubric was designed to assess critical thinking of students across the disciplines. In this session. Dr. Moore reports on his successful adaptation of the rubric for use in an Honors Ethics class. This session provides an explanation of how the rubric, with fairly simple modifications, can be easily adapted as an efficient grading tool in any class that teaches critical thinking. He also examines the question of whether Honors students perform at a higher standard for critical thinking.
