This course was probably one of the most difficult classes I’ve taken at Longwood. It was Historical Inquiry 1- Everyday Life in Pre-Modern Europe. I was not interested at all in any of the topics covered, so it made it really hard to pay attention and remember the material. The professor was very nice and was passionate about the topics he was teaching.
A few times we had to do primary source reviews and had one research paper. Because we were able to pick our topic for the research paper, I was more interested in it. I compared the roles of women in Viking and Roman societies. The few things I enjoyed learning about were the Bubonic Plague and medical technologies and practices from ancient history.
