This course was called 9/11 Loss and Redemption. I really enjoyed this class but I wish we had learned more about 9/11 and read more about it. However, we were able to connect the materials we read and watched in class. My favorite book we read was All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. It was set in WWII Europe and followed the story of two characters from separate countries. We had a few speaking presentations that were really difficult at first, but by the last presentation, I did much better.
My favorite part of the class was the research paper I did on PTSD in 9/11 first responders and female soldiers. Our research had to connect to the literary materials we used in class and make it into a presentation, story, or paper.
