I absolutely loved taking Introduction to Anthropology with Dr. Jordan. Outside of the nursing program, Dr. Jordan is the best professor. I’ve ever had at Longwood. Not only was this an honors course, but it also counted for Goal 9- Diversity. I enjoyed this class because Dr. Jordan was so passionate about the course material. We also got the opportunity to spend the weekend at Hull Springs Farm and visit the anatomy and physiology lab at Ferrum College! Those were both really fun trips and the 14 of us in the class bonded over the course of the semester.

We were required to do a research project for this course and I chose to research neanderthal culture. I looked into their traditions, practices, beliefs, survival skills, and tools they used.
