SOCL 315-50

This class was called Aging and the Life Course. It is required that all nursing majors take this, and luckily I found an honors section. We learned about the biological, social, cultural aspects of aging. My favorite part of this class was the final project. We were required to interview an adult over the age of 55 for an hour and then transcribe the interview. Afterwards, we had to create a research poster to present in class. I interviewed my Grammy and I actually learned a lot about her and the life she has had.

I pulled themes from the transcript and then discussed them, connected the interview to two theories of aging we had learned about, and provided an overview of the conversation I had.
