During the first semester of my freshman year, I took ECON 217 as both an Honors Course and a Core class for the Pre-Business major.  In addition to the class time learning about the Principles of Economics, every Friday the Honors Students in my class and I would stay after class and watch a documentary related to Economics.  We were responsible for taking notes, and then discussing our notes and thoughts the following week.  The videos and discussions forced me to think more critically about the subject and broaden my awareness on how economics applies to life around us and other countries.
