Reflection:

The expectations for this assignment included composing an effective bad new letter and a persuasive letter, using proper business letter format, and using good professional writing. By completing this assignment, I have meet many of the course objectives, specifically “analyze and produce writing genres commonly found in the professional world,” “create professional documents that use plain english,” and “create professional documents that us design.” While working to complete this assignment, I consulted the course textbook which provided a wealth of information, as well as examples of both a bad news letter and a persuasive letter. As I began this assignment, I found it difficult to compose an effective attention section for the letters. Also, ensuring that letter abided by the eight C’s of professional writing presented as a difficult task to tackle. Typically, I tend to add an extensive and excessive amount of details, some that may not be needed to convey the overall message. Following the eight C’s of professional writing has improved my overall writing. By completing these assignments, I have been exposed to and overcome many difficulties I typically experience during the writing process.
